St John’s College is committed to improving the sustainability of St John’s Innovation Park, aiming to reduce carbon emissions from the built environment, mitigate the effects of climate change, minimise the consumption of resources, promote wellbeing and protect biodiversity on the Park. 

The Dirac Building represents the next phase in the sustainable development of St John’s Innovation Park. On completion, this BREEAM ‘Excellent’, WiredScore ‘Platinum’ development will deliver two office buildings and a new transport hub and gym in the north-western corner of the Park.

Workspaces of the Future

The Dirac Building will deliver the flexible, forward-thinking workspace expected by next generation of technology disruptors and innovators. Including:

  • An accessible, well-connected, best-in-class building, benefiting not only those that occupy it but also the wider Park community.
  • An enhanced Park landscape for all, maintaining a good balance between the built and natural environment.
  • Additional amenity and enriched public realm focused on the health and wellbeing of all those at the Park.
  • BCO ventilation standards exceeded by over 30% throughout the building.

Covid secure design elements have been built into the specification, including:

  • Minimal touch points - use of automatic doors where feasible.
  • Automatic WCs and wash hand basins.
  • Use of state of the art management tools; technology and processes to create a safer and more productive environment for occupiers.

Turnstone Estates is the appointed Development Partner for the next phase of St John’s Innovation Park’s growth – the delivery of the Dirac Building and associated transport hub.

St John’s College enjoys a trusted, long-term relationship with Turnstone, who successfully delivered the 65,000 sq ft Maurice Wilkes building at the Park in 2018. The building was fully let shorty after completion.
