St John’s College is pleased to confirm that Springboard has moved to larger premises within St John’s Innovation Park, one of the main epicentres of Cambridge’s highly active R&D and technology scene. Springboard specialises in the development of devices from concept to manufacture in sectors such as medical and consumer products, biotech and food & drink for regulated markets.
In its third ‘upsize’ at the Park, more than doubling the size of its previous facilities, the relocation accommodates Springboard’s need for larger dedicated lab and workshop space to meet the demand and the diversity of new projects, and will enable the team to provide clients with bespoke solutions on a larger scale than ever before.
Having commenced life as a start-up at the world-class incubation hub St John’s Innovation Centre, situated at the heart of the Park, the company grew rapidly within the supportive community and was able to make its second big move, securing 3950 sq ft at the Park’s Jeffreys Building in 2017. Its team of talented engineers and scientists has chosen to remain at St John’s Innovation Park to continue its UK expansion with its third and latest move to the Platinum Building where the company now enjoys 9,861 sq ft of space.
By increasing its real estate footprint by 60 per cent, Springboard now has further capacity to offer end-to-end client solutions, and move forward with a recruitment drive to meet the high demand in technological device development.
Keith Turner, Director, Springboard, said: “St John’s Innovation Park is the perfect place to expand our footprint within Cambridge’s innovative technology hub. The modern building, facilities, easily accessible location, and great neighbours all contribute to a happy workplace for us all.
“Over the years we have partnered with a number of companies based on the Park and it’s great to see so many still here, which is a testament to the Park’s attractiveness. We’re excited and energised about our move to bigger premises and look forward to welcoming many clients, partners, and friends to our new office in the future.”
Suzie Wood, Investment Property Manager, St John’s College, added: “We are delighted that Springboard has chosen to continue their rapid expansion within our bustling tech and R&D community at St John’s Innovation Park and wish them every success.
“Our proactive approach to developing the Park enables us to continue to support our current high growth occupiers, like Springboard, as well as welcome new ventures – to this end the next proposed development will be the construction of our next-generation office space, The Dirac Building.”
Springboard is currently recruiting for a wide range of graduate roles and electronic engineers. Visit www.springboard.pro to find out more.
